We always celebrate Christmas with our little family on Christmas Eve because we are sooo busy on Christmas day and it spreads out the fun. :)
Decorating the tree
Reading "The Night Before Christmas"
Making cookies for Santa :)
The stockings were hung....
Santa finally finished his work around 2 a.m.
The kids woke up around 8 and Kaydence came running into our room asking if Santa had come. We all went out there together and she went nuts the second she saw her dollhouse. Easton was so fun to watch open his presents. He kept saying "Whoa" and "what's that" it was so cute. It took us about 2 hours to open all the presents because the kids wanted to open each one and play with it before going on to the next present. Kaydence loved everything she got and definitely loved her make-up kit the most, after her dollhouse of course.
We go to my families house for dinner on Christmas Eve. Santa (my old Bishop from whem I was growing up) comes and gives the kids a candy cane and tells them to go to bed. The kids love seeing him! It is such a fun tradition and I remember being so excited to see him when I was little.
We draw names for who will buy a present for in the family and we open those presents and pajamas from Grandma that night.
My brother and his cute wife and daughter
Easton checking out his new book. Poor little guy got a hold of a cup of egg nog and drank it all before we realized what it was. He was COVERED in hives 5 minutes later. This egg allergy is NO fun.
As you can see, Kaydence loves her make-up. I think she had 20 layers of it on by then. LOL!
All the Timothy grandkids (Ellie (6), Kaydence(4), Cole(3), Easton(1&1/2), Summer(1), Aria (1) and Caleb( 7 months))
Christmas morning we went to Rob's parents house to open presents.
All tuckered out. Rob, Steve and Easton
Rapunzel opening another present
Me and my lil man
Easton LOVED this cat toy. LOL! He played in it forever.
After that we went back to my parents for breakfast and presents. The kids got fold out couches from my parents and the LOVE them. They honestly spend most of the day playing on them. I am so lucky to have such a big, loving family. We are really lucky to live to close to everyone and get to see them every holiday.
Kaydence and her papa
On New Years Eve we hung out with our next door neighbors, Amy and Steve. They are so great! We are so lucky to have them live next door.
Amy and I made tons of food! That is what you get when you send 2 hungry women, who are about to go on a diet, to the store for snacks. The guys laughed at us but didn't complain when they got to eat all our yummy food. We played games and laughed all night. The guys kept trying to sneak away to play xbox but we hid the remotes so we could have their attention for a couple hours. LOL! Kaydence and their little girl Zailey played all night. They wanted to see how late they could stay up for their "sleep over" but they tuckered out around 11:30. So close. It was such a blast!
Zailey took this lovely pic and told us to show her our butts. Silly girls!
Twinners. We are such dorks, we wore matching shirts cuz our hubbies always says that we are 2 peas in a pod. LOL!
The best of friends!
These 2 are a riot when they are together!
Rob and Steven, deep in thought. LOL! They make the FUNNIEST faces when they play.
2011 was such an awesome, adventurous year! Who would've thought that we would've moved away for 5 months and got to experience something so fun/emotional at the same time. We learned alot last year and are so excited to see what 2012 has to offer us. We have already accomplished a HUGE goal that we had for this year and are so ready to tackle more. This is definitely the most hopeful that I have been to start out a new year because I know it is going to be GREAT!
Hope all of you had a happy holiday and have a wonderful new year!
