Hello again! It has been WAY too long since I have blogged! It is because the only internet that we have is on our phones and it takes a really long time to write out a whole blog post on the tiny screen. Just wanted to let everyone know what we have been up too. '
As soon as we got home we started on some projects around the house. We painted the whole upstairs, refinished furniture, put in a garbage disposal, fixed our leaky dishwasher (which leaked through the floor and flooded our laundry room downstairs:() got a new microwave above the stove ( I know this might not sound like a big deal but it makes our kitchen seem so much bigger :)) and brought in a backhoe to undercut the ground in our backyard to hopefully get rid of all the weeds. We have tried for 5 years to get a lawn going back there and NOTHING has worked so we are starting over and getting it hydro-seeded in the spring. So excited because it is a huge yard and would love our kids to be able to play out there next spring. We are gonna re-carpet soon too. Lots of othere little projects. It has been so much work but our house is looking great!
This summer went so great! Rob did really well and I am so grateful for that. It was scary to go out there, not knowing how it would be but it was great. Rob didn't mind the work and I had some great friends to hang out with and keep me busy. It is so strange how some times things come out of the blue and work out just the way they should. :) We can definitely say that this job opportunity came into our lives at the PERFECT time! Thanks again Ben and Jen!
Rob went back to work at the financial company after taking a couple weeks off and things are going better than ever! They completely changed the way that they are doing things there and it has improved so much. He really enjoys working there and is super busy. I think that this is definitely something that he wants to stick to doing. His boss asked for a kind of "commitment" that he wouldn't keep making a ton of money and then up and leave again (I guess that they have had that happen before). So, that kinda makes our decision of if we are going to go sell again next summer for us. We'll see though. LOL! :)
Kaydence is back to school at Bright Tykes and loves it. Ms Jennifer is so amazing with the kids and I can see how much she is learning everyday. She loves all her little friends and is so happy to be back. A new family moved in next door right before we left for Kansas and they have a 4 year old girl that Kaydence plays with almost every single day. They play so cute together.
Easton is getting huge! He is now 19 months old and catching up to Kaydence in size. He is also talking up a storm. He mostly jabbers but will repeat anything that you say and knows all the common words like eat, drink, night night, ball, toy, eat, play, mom, dad, sister, etc. Such an adorable little guy!
We have been so busy with lots of fun family events since we have been back and am really looking forward to the holidays. My FAVORITE time of the year. I can't wait to do all of our fun traditions, including making gingerbread houses, Christmas candy for the neighbors, going to see all the lights! I already have my Christams shopping done for the kids and am working on Robs now. He is the hard one since he will never tell me anything that he wants... Can't wait for Christmas though!!!!
Anywho, things are going so great with us and hopefully getting even better soon! ;)
